meet the stylists

  • Meet Dani

Dani, the owner, originally from NY knew she wanted to become a hairstylist when she was just 6 years old.... Sitting in a salon, crying like the baby she was, all the stylists in the salon gathered around and made her feel pretty and happy and she knew then and there that a hair salon (2nd only to Disneyland) was the happiest place on earth. "I have the best job in the world" she always says..." I feel like I get to play all day long with my friends and they leave happy because they spent time with me". Yup, can't argue with that logic. Trained with an educator from Vidal Sasson Academy from London, Dani competed nationally and worked for 4 1/2 years as a National Platform Artist, created educational videos for cuts and colors as well as being featured in several hair styling magazines, like Modern Salon and Passions. Always seeking a salon that had bright natural light, good energy, drama-free staff, but always finding something missing...Trim a salon was created out of necessity. If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself (this does not apply to hair), so Dani set out to created the perfect salon environment. Beautiful skylights that provide enough light that no artificial light has to be used during the day, colors come out the way they should! Dani has been looking to open a salon in this location for the last 2 years, and she's so happy she was able to get this cozy cottage to realize her dream! Her staff are as dedicated to creating wearable fun styles and she is. Come in today and experience hip, fun, trendy, cool...Trim a salon.

  • Meet Nareh

Nareh knew at the age of five that the haircare industry was for her. After growing up in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Austria, and Netherlands, her family settled in LA, where she always dreamed of working as a salon stylist. While others focused on school or social life, she made phone calls to local stylists and asked them questions about becoming a successful hairdresser. She trained at the prestigious Paul Mitchell The School right after high school, and was the first student to earn honors in cutting, color, and texture, and the very first to make it on to Dean's List. She was a winner of NAHA's subsection Beacon, which titled her for one of the year's best students in the entire country. She specializes in balayage and trendy cuts, but welcomes every hair type and texture into her chair to work her craft. Welcome to the family Nareh!

Vanessa's story started when she was 6 years old. While getting her hair cut, she discovered she loved the sound of sharp shears trimming her hair. Shortly thereafter, Vanessa began her styling career by teaching herself how to french braid on her Barbie dolls. Little did she know her love of styling would eventually payoff when Allure magazine awarded her best blowdry in 2010. Educated through Paul Mitchell the School she eventually went on to train with their Advanced Academy putting her a step above certifying her as a color specialist. • Meet Candice

After spending a few years in college pursuing a career in the medical field, Candice decided to take a break and soul search. She found herself working as a receptionist at a nail salon and during her time there, she discovered her passion for all things beauty. After leaving the salon, she looked into different beauty schools in her area and fell in love with the culture at the Paul Mitchell the School in Sherman Oaks. Even as a student, she sought to educate herself in the industry outside of school. And so she applied for an apprenticeship at Trim a salon, and had been assisting during her time as a student. Upon graduating from Paul Mitchell and getting licensed, she immediately transitioned from being an apprentice to being Trim a salon’s first Junior Stylist. She loves to challenge herself and work on major transformations, like vivid (fashion) color work. When she’s not at Trim a salon, she’s out and about working on set for photo shoots and commercials as a nail artist.
